Every day of this project I have been given an image for my use. Today I was detained by an important telephone call. As the light of day passed and I had no image for the day, so I posted the Bird (below). After reading for a little while I went out on the front porch for a little quiet time, and there was the image and several important lessons for me.
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

which lens and settings did you use? I tried last night, but I was at the ball game and then we were on the side of the road at a road side park. No tripod and Dean's car is really low. I just didn't do well with the pics. I have too many street lights to try here at home.
