After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC.

82: Street Photography -- Men's Toys
This was car show night downtown tonight. Street Photography time, "Documenting the Human Condition." It seems to me all men seem to have some type of "toy" that causes us to turn our backs on the important things of life.
Elmo, this photograph has several elements that speak to me. There are fast cars... seemingly fast women... an aptly placed "don't walk" sign signaling a potential "red light district." The smooth curves in the bodywork of each... Playing with either toy could very easily take many of us away from the "important" things in life. Fast cars, fast women... both are dangerous when driven.
