The old courthouse is a primary landmark and after a few years it becomes hard to find a different approach to photographing it. How about through the eyes of a lawyer?
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

Wow! Now that is a great picture! Great eye Elmo. That should be printed large and posted somewhere. How did you see that? Best one yet - and that's not a small feat.
ReplyDeleteThat building (way before your time here) housed an Apple Dealer in the early eighty's where my first computer - an Apple {Apple ][) was purchased and again later an Apple ][e was purchased. We so wanted an Apple ||| with a built in floppy (5-1/4") but couldn't afford it. Our ultimate "want" was the LISA with a mouse and the first "Trash Bin - even in the eighty's!" but that cost $10k at the time. Way out of our league.
This picture is two-fold for me. Another memory like the oil fired furnace I mentioned this morning. This was the building where we paid $40 for 10, 5-1/4" single sided - single density floppy's. They were Elephant brand - they never forget. We used hole punches to make them double sided. I know you did the same. Wow how times have changed. Thank you so much for posting this. 73
