I have not been putting in any effort on ths blog. I admit I really should and I might try to change that. Anyway I was passing through down town today and noticed 6 different photographers working down town, must be a better place than even I imagined. What does all this mean---nothing other than I noticed this and it seemed pleasant,
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

149: A different view
When you have a distinctive landmark it is hard to find a different view. Well I went for my walk a little late today and by the time I finished the sun had set so I thought another day without anything. As I have said over and over suddenly, there was the shot. Seems like when I am patient my needs get met. Not just photographically but in ever need in my life, God provides.

114: Old Courthouse Revisited
The old courthouse is a primary landmark and after a few years it becomes hard to find a different approach to photographing it. How about through the eyes of a lawyer?

50: Architecture
Well some have begun to think, I am a country bumpkin. Well I am not, I live in a very metropolitan area. We have three skyscrapers (4 or more floors) and here are all three.
