First appearing Daffodils are a sure sign spring is near. I used to judge by Crocuses but my bad gardening over the years have let them disappear. I am sure glad I have a better gardener for my life.
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

Elmo... The stark colors of the flower against the black background is very nice!

Love the black as bob said. You did the opposite of what I tend to do, you kept the whole flower in focus. It's much better the way you did it. Keep teaching me something... I do like the DOF and composition.
