Over the years I have been involved in several discussions about how power poles and lines destroy many photo opportunities. In this time of high energy cost and generating plant disasters it seemed appropriate to address the issue of photographing power poles and lines.
In this I see both man made power and God's power. Which is better?
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

I bet you don't remember this, but at one time years ago, I asked (or you suggested) that you give me a subject to "shoot" each week. The first - and only - assignment was "power lines." I remember shooting up into a pole and adding an eagle that I had shot elsewhere. Well, I failed at the assignment you challenged me with. You did not. This is a nice one. Good composition, nice lines and color. Great capture.
ReplyDeleteYes I did remember and started to mention it, but I could not find the right words.
