I was "forced" to get out today so I decided to get a shot. Anyone tried to photograph a tulip in a hurricane? As a naturalist I prefer to shoot thing where they are.
After an absence from doing photography on a regular basis I decided to do a-picture-a-day-for-a-year project. As a direction I am attempting to use modern images where possible to relate times in my photographic past. As I am no longer a spring chicken, I can get philosophical some times. As a Christian I often see God possibly using me and my photography to send short messages. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed making them around Monroe, NC. TheElmo

Sorry. I got pulled away before I could make a second, "serious" post.
ReplyDeleteI like this. The DOF is nice from the ends of the petals and into the stamin (I think thats what they are called) and the leaves just noticeably out of focus. Not too much, just enough.
I have seen so many tulips around of all colors. I have been wanting to shoot one for a couple of weeks, but haven't taken the time.
Nice job Mr. Elmo. Well done. I'm glad you chose to go out today.
Cheers.
Elmo.. Those colors really POP! Usual nice job!
